Post by Takahashi Kurai on Mar 20, 2024 21:39:26 GMT
POSITION: Wielder of KUBIKIRIBŌCHŌ MEMBER: [REDACTED] RANK: Jōnin PLANS: Kurai's father and father before him were exceptional swordsmen and I plan on having Kurai follow in their footsteps. He grew up admiring the Seven Swordsmen and their prowess with their blades. Coming from a clanless background and always wanting to prove himself, he wanted to take it a step further from his father and become one of those elite swordsmen, striving to become someone worthy of standing beside the other six. Despite the current condition of Kirigakure, Kurai is loyal to the village, wanting to be of better use to the Mizukage.
ABILITIES: Kurai had been training to use a sword since his Academy years. Kenjutsu is his primary source of fighting next to ninjutsu, having learned how to weave hand seals with only one hand so that he can always keep his other hand free for his sword. He has exceptional situational awareness for someone his rank save for some comedic moments. He is ruthless, not afraid to cut down his opponents or play dirty when needed.
RP Sample: Kirigakure....the dead of night...
In most other places, the streets would be quiet, filled with little to no activity, but here in the Bloody Mist, things were a bit different. These were the hours where most of the village's unsavory and sketchy folks would rise.
Kurai wasn’t among these types of usual crooks, but the young shinobi found himself out for a walk this mist-filled night. No matter where he looked, Kurai’s eyes would be welcomed by the sight of folks suspiciously huddled together, others partaking in blatant illegal activities to even walking past an ally where someone was in the process of being beaten and mugged. Kurai just kept to himself, hands in his pockets as he walked past.
The state of this village, the way many people here presented themselves…Kurai has gotten all too used to this. Even the eyes that were on him were no surprise. These walks were normal for him…though he’d usually have a certain….novel in hand to read during his strolls. Tonight, he was focused on something else entirely, involving a katana that rested sheathed on his left hip. He was determined to train hard until dawn. Ever since he was young, Kurai admired the Seven Swordsmen and their elite swordsmanship. It was something he strived to become, training endlessly for.
The mist ninja arrived at one of the village’s training grounds, not a single soul in sight. Kurai took a second to look around, take in his surroundings. Much like everywhere else in the village, the area felt eerie due to the mist-filled darkness. The man still had no issue navigating, walking up to one of the training dummies he often used, indicated by the familiar slash marks that riddled it. Kurai was about to get to business until he heard footsteps creeping up behind him… “Oi Oi Oi, what do we have here?” Someone had spoken. Kurai turned to not only be greeted by one but three shady individuals. “What is it?” Kurai asked plainly, looking unbothered with a hint of annoyance. “Oh nooo, this kid looks serious.” one of the other crooks teased while the third snickered. “Wait…ain’t you that kid that be walkin around, readin them girly books?” The third crook asked, causing the other two to laugh as they began to realize. “G-Girly…” Although he was well composed at first, Kurai looked mildly flustered now at the comment. “They’re not girly, they’re rom-” Kurai stopped almost immediately, gritting his teeth a bit while the laughing continued to grow….
How news like this got around was beyond him.
“Tch…” Instead of entertaining this further, he turned to face the dummy again, intending to train despite the live laugh track going off behind him.
“Woah there kid…” Immediately, one of the guys placed a hand firmly on Kurai’s shoulder, causing the ninja to glance at it. “Ya know it really and I mean reaalllyy pisses me off when people turn their backs on me.” the crook claimed. “See, I was gonna let ya off easy, ya know, take all your possessions and, especially that shiny-lookin sword of yours….” The crook said, the last comment causing a subtle shift on Kurai’s face. “But it looks like we’re gonna have ta beat the crap outta ya as well…Right , bo-AEUGHH!”
Before the crook could finish, Kurai drove his elbow into the man’s gut and proceeded to slam the back of his head into the guy’s face just as he was lurching forward. The man instantly fell to the ground, only leaving the other two who were both taken aback. Kurai turned to face the remaining two, hand on the hilt of his sword, his eyes showing nothing but the intent to kill. “You guys wanted my sword, right? Come get it…” Kurai was expecting a two on one…..
“WAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!”
…..but instead got screams as the two crooks bolted off, dragging their unconscious friend on the ground with them.
Kurai now looked a little…dumbfounded, blinking a few times before sighing. Guess those other two were a little bit smarter than most crooks. He then shook his head a bit before turning to face the dummy again, hands crossed.
“They’re romance novels by the way….” he muttered to himself, kicking a pebble to the side…still a bit butthurt over the earlier comment….

Post by Sunashige Kimiko on Mar 21, 2024 0:27:27 GMT
POSITION: Kazekage/Clan Successor, if possible! MEMBER: Hexa RANK: S-Rank/Kage PLANS: Kimiko is far from being suitable for a leadership position, but here she is now. Despite her frequent moments of idiocy that often lands her in hot water, she has a genuine desire to help rebuild Sunagakure, improve its economy, and increase overall morale. I see her being the most laid back Kage who presents herself as someone who isn't the brightest tool in the shed, and sometimes that's the case, but she's not completely hopeless. Despite her position, she can immature and stuck in her teen/early adulthood years which can also play into Sunagakure's relationship with other villages. ABILITIES: If Kimiko is able to be the clan successor, then she would have access to iron sand along with the family's ability of Magnet Release. Including obtaining other family abilities, she's very skilled in ninjutsu, particularly in wind and earth ninjutsu. She's proven to have some physical prowess, especially with taijutsu and kenjutsu. I'd also imagine Kimiko having high durability with her being a sadomasochist. She enjoys the pain so much, she'd just want more of it. RP Sample:
The desert was extremely hot during the day and somewhat tolerable during dusk. With the moon fully rising into the sky and letting its light shine in the desert, there is no doubt the Sand Country’s temperatures have dropped drastically from its usual scorching temperatures when the sun is out. Kimiko wore her usual outfit with a black mask covering her nose and mouth and a cloak of the same color and a hoodie over her head to shield part of her hair. The only features that could be made out was her face, specifically her green eyes and the scar on her left eye. In her left hand was a dagger and her right hand held a longer bladed weapon. A katana, to be exact.
A shinobi, for whatever reason, went rogue and it was her job to track him down. It was clear that those who dare abandon the village won’t do so alive, especially when they worked close with the Kazekage herself.
With both weapons out and ready to attack, Kimiko quietly snooped around the inside of the abandoned building just a few miles away from Sunagakure, where she would only assume that the rogue shinobi had camped about until he could make his next move on where to go. Kimiko wasn’t actually sure if her assumptions were true, but it was worth checking out. The building was made out of sandstone, but the amount of shattered walls, broken floors, and ruined structures within the building was more than plentiful.
The building had a total of four floors, to which she already searched two of them. On the third floor, Kimiko watched every step she took to make sure she wouldn’t make as much sound as possible and not fall through a crooked hole. Her eyes scanned the perimeters as they took in every single detail despite the darkness crippling her eyesight. It may have been dark, but she was still able to make out some features that were engulfed in the shadows.
She stopped in front of a doorway that introduced a room with nothing but damaged items such as desks, chairs, and what seemed to be a figure lying down with their backs facing the doorway near one of the ruined desks. The figure had bright blue hair and seemed to have an average build. Her rogue nin was Mazusaki Tanaka who had bright blue hair and an average build.
Kimiko tiptoed to the slumbered figure from behind as she rose her katana over her head, prepared to strike the man right through his temple. As she wasted no time, she slammed the tip of the blade through the man’s neck in a matter of seconds. She expected to kill the rogue in one thrust, but the moment the blade made contact with the neck, smoke emerged from the figure as it disappeared within the cloud. Kimiko’s eyes widen as she realized that this was a clone, which meant that Mazusaki had been expecting someone to come after him. Which meant…
“Ha, got you now!” A voice yelled from behind.
Immediately, Kimiko held her katana horizontally and leveled her hand that held the hilt up to her chest whilst she turned around. She slashed her blade forward as she got a direct hit on the man who ran up to Kimiko right on his chest. After he stumbled back from the impact of the slash, she gave a vertical slash down his shoulder and then gave a stab right on the center of his chest with her dagger.
The man’s body fell onto the ground the moment when his heart was stabbed through with the dagger still intact with his chest. Kimiko approached the man’s corpse and kneeled to get a better angle of beheading him from his body.
“Not much of a fight… but at least it was quick.” Kimiko muttered under her breath.

Post by Sunashige Akemi on Mar 21, 2024 2:34:49 GMT
POSITION: GOBI / KOKUŌ MEMBER: Panda RANK: Jōnin PLANS: Akemi is a member of the Sunashige family, though not important enough during her birth to warrant any attention. She was chosen to be the container of the Gobi for the express reason that the Sunashige family has the closest tie to Sunagakure, and therefore they were ones that the village can trust to not betray the village. I plan on Akemi to build on her relationship with the Gobi, with both of them sharing almost the same personality of being "quiet, reserved, and old-fashioned". She is going to be mentoring a young puppeteer as well! While the village spurns her, she is loyal to Suna simply due to it being her home. She will defend it to her last breath, though she wouldn't say that out loud. ABILITIES: Akemi is part of the Sunashige family, which gives her the affinity for the Magnet Release. She is an expert at this, though much prefers utilizing her Boil Release, which she has access to thanks to the Gobi being sealed within her. She is no taijutsu expert, and relies mostly on her ninjutsu skills. Akemi is a one-(wo)man team, especially because of her Boil Release being so deadly to her enemies and teammates. This was a conscious choice of hers, though most think she believes herself to be above others (which she totally does). RP Sample:
There was nothing left of her.
Disheveled, angry, and ready to kill whoever woke her up, Akemi rose from her slumber with an angry grunt. Who were they to wake her up this early in the- "Ah, well..."
The Kazekage wouldn't mind her being late, right?
She carefully picked herself up and started dressing. Last night had been brutal, even for her. Traitors from Suna thought that they can ambush her, and perhaps take her as a prize for some other village. Was the bijuu sealed within her worth that much?
Akemi placed her hand on her seal, and sighed. It had been one of the few times that the Gobi had actually taken over, and decimated the three traitors. So much destruction, so much blood. And by the end of it all, there was little proof that they had even existed at all in the first place. The Steam Release was just too powerful, too deadly.
Worse of all, she had been seen by civilians.
"Ugh, those idiots..." She muttered to herself. The villagers treated her...amicably. With frosted smiles and disingenuous bows. She knew that they didn't like her, didn't like the fact that she carried one of the bijuu within her. Was she a monster to them? One to scare their children to sleep at night? "Oh...how marvelous..." Akemi sighed, applying the last bit of her lipstick before setting out.
"And you! ...just...ugh!" She looked towards her seal one more time, frustrated that the Gobi still won't properly talk to her. Or, at least, have a conversation with her. The Gobi answers with one-word answers, such as "yes" and "no" and "maybe", which continually irked Akemi. The Jinchuuriki shook her head, before calming herself.
An aura of regalness, of gentle mannerisms and of soft smiles. Akemi looked at herself in the mirror and saw the beauty that she was, and the air of grace she exhuded. In the end, she would rise above what the villagers thought of her. They think that she's a monster? Well, can a monster truly look this beautiful?
Post by Kurohoshi Ashinen on Mar 21, 2024 2:38:45 GMT
POSITION: Glory Raikage / Clan Successor MEMBER: SLK RANK: Kage / S-Rank PLANS: The Raikage is a formidable leader who commands respect and loyalty from his people. He is passionate about his nation and strives to ensure that the shinobi world recognizes its power and influence. The Raikage believes in the principle of unity, where all aspects of his village work together towards a common goal. He is a firm believer that weakness cannot be tolerated and that everyone must put in 100% effort towards achieving success.
In order to create a stable and prosperous village, the Raikage is focused on increasing its economy. He believes that by doing so, his people can enjoy a higher standard of living and participate in cultural activities such as parties, events, and traditional dances. The ultimate goal is to create a sense of community and pride within the village, where everyone feels valued and supported.
ABILITIES: Xya has impressive proficiency in Taijutsu. He is also highly proficient in using Genjutsu. Xya's strong affinity for lightning and Water makes him a force to be reckoned with, and he is also known to possess the unique abilities of his clan. The doujutsu ketsuryu and it's Genjutsu. If there is no clan successor he would be the first to lead his clan to glory.
RP Sample: Xya, also known as Chief Xya, was born in the lands of lightning. Before moving to Kumogakure, Xya's parents were part of a wandering caravan that sold necessary items. Unfortunately, a coup occurred in their caravan, and the local leader was overthrown. The shinobi within the group ended up slaughtering most of the caravan members, leaving only Xya parents alive. The incident was so traumatic that Xya's parents vowed they would never use jutsu again. Despite the tragedy, Xya and his family eventually settled in Kumogakure, where they started a new life. Kumogakure was a unique and fitting place for them, but they had to hide their heritage, fearing the village would revolt against them and their typically strong clan. Xya's strange appearance and their reclusion helped to dissipate any potential tension.
As a young boy, he was fascinated with the art of taijutsu and longed to master it. His father, a skilled ninja, served as his inspiration and mentor. The boy would watch with awe as his father demonstrated his prowess in combat, his movements fluid and graceful. As he grew older, his passion for taijutsu only intensified. He spent countless hours training, pushing himself to the limits of his physical and mental abilities. He dreamed of one day becoming a master of taijutsu, just like his father. And then, one day, his father was promoted to the position of kage. The boy felt a surge of pride and admiration for his father, but he also felt a twinge of envy. He knew deep down that this was also what he wanted for himself - to become a respected and influential ninja, to rise to the highest ranks of his village, and to make his mark on the world. Achieve. To become a leader, to serve and protect his people. All he could do was cheer for his father and be by his side at all costs.
As the news began to spread throughout the village, a wave of fear and uncertainty swept across the land. Rumors of a terrible disease that had no cure were rampant, and many shinobi were falling sick or passing away. The situation was dire, and everyone was on edge, wondering when and where the disease would strike next.
Xya was at home when he received the news that his father, the mage, had been diagnosed with the dreaded sickness. Without hesitation, he rushed to his father's side, hoping against hope that there was something he could do to help.
As he approached the hospital, he was greeted by a chaotic scene. Workers were frantically running around, shouting instructions and trying to manage the growing number of patients. The air was thick with the smell of disinfectant and the sound of coughing and moaning.
Xya finally managed to locate his father in a small room, lying alone in bed with his eyes closed. Tears streamed down Xya's face as he knelt by his father's side, his hand resting on his chest.
Despite his pain and weakness, his father managed to muster a smile and a weak laugh. "Rise up and help your people," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Then help your mother. Once you are done, help your friends."
Xya nodded, his throat constricted with emotion. He knew that these were his father's last words to him, and he would do everything in his power to honor his request.
"Find the cure, son," his father whispered. "Before they find you."
Xya nodded again, his resolve hardening. He would do whatever it took to find the cure for this terrible disease, no matter what the cost.
And he did. Through sheer determination and a bit of luck, Xya managed to discover the cure for the disease that had plagued his village for so long. His heroic efforts did not go unnoticed, and he was soon promoted to the position of Raikage, a title he wore with pride and honor for many years to come.

POSITION: Chief Aide to the Kazekage MEMBER: Badtz-Milk RANK: A-Rank / Elite Jonin PLANS: Kazoku will be one of the last surviving members of the resurging Kaguya Clan, an expert medical-nin, and will serve as a loyal chief aide to the Kazekage. I want him also to be a leader in the village’s medical aid and production business. His past will be a somewhat tragic one, which will drive him to make his village better and his skill as a medical ninja. The in-part irony is that most of his medical-nin / healing techniques don’t work on himself.
ABILITIES: A member of the Kaguya Clan, I plan for Kazoku to have the Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkai (Skeletal Control) being his main form of combat and I also plan for him to be an expert medical-nin. He would be very skilled in hand-to-hand combat (taijutsu) and chakra control, and to some extent, I’d also like him to experiment with ninja tools and weapons.
RP Sample:
He stands and he stares at the grave stone. It's a cloudy day, a rare occurrence in the desert. Perhaps that day will also be a rainy one, an even more rare miracle. Rain would be good. It would help disguise his tears, if they did decide to fall.
But as he waits, the rare breath of wind only picks up messy red bangs and the long tails of his coat. He realizes that he's just that unlucky. There's no rain today. There is no excuse. But he's alone among the grave markers. No one to witness, no one to excuse himself to.
Aimi
He could cry, but only if he had tears left. He'd cried long ago on the day he lost her.
There's nothing left of her now, except a lonely marker on a grave.
It was an ugly reminder. A mission gone wrong. A life saved, but only at the cost of another. The world would have been better if she was the one still in it. Instead, the world had him. It kept its cold, dark grip on him. The logic of it all escaped him. The world was illogical; a fact that so scorned him.
“Do you remember when you asked me if it hurt?”
He raises a hand, his fingers spread then bend in unnatural, forced positions. Slits in his skin start to open, and bone juts out from the top of his hand. White, narrow, peaking out like a hard sprout in the dirt that was the thin membrane of his skin. He doesn't flinch; he barely winces as the bone protrudes and begins to grow further, like a knife jutting out from his hand. He takes his other hand and grabs the protrusion.
With a hard jerk, the bone breaks. And at that he does allow himself a small wince as his jaw sets like steel.
“It always hurts. It never stops hurting.”
He holds the bone in his free hand, and another protrusion comes from the other once again. He waits for it to become long enough to grab, and then breaks it off just the same.
“But like any constant stimulus, you grow accustomed to it.” When he has enough free bones, he finally stops himself from growing more.
He kneels down, setting the bones in a small arrangement of three little stick figures. He doesn't smile at the macabre offering, he only remembers what sticks in the dirt used to mean to a kid who had nothing.
“I thought I could grow used to the pain of losing you.” He mutters his words now, saying them as much to himself as to the unmoving stone marker before him. “But even when it's there, when I feel it every day, this aching in my chest, this hollow, emptiness I can't ever fill….”
The wind picks up again. The tear finally runs down his cheek.
“It hurts me more than I can ever imagine. It hurts just as awfully as the day I lost you.”
When he rises, the little family of bone figures lies still. It was made with mostly finger bones, the shorter ones, and other longer broken off pieces. There's a dull ache in his hand, where new bones were already sprouting and replacing the lost ones. He's used to the pain. He's admitted that much.
He says his quiet goodbyes and leaves just as softly.
