[Usoyade~] [break] The best word to describe Choyoyo is easygoing—a trait present down to her slow mannerisms and comfy voice. She has a deceptively pudgy and soft physique, hiding muscle and might built over many years of training. Yoyo often wears oversized clothing in shades of yellow and white, but always maintains an exposed midriff.
Choyoyo was born to a doting father and an extremely strict mother. Her early days were filled with spending time with her father in many activities, often involving food, only to get scolded by a beast of a mom. She was an intuitive little girl that got a quick grasp of clan techniques, and by the time she joined the academy, no one really had the courage to mess with someone whose arms could grow almost as large as herself. [break][break] While that essentially cemented her spot as one of the strongest in class, it didn’t come without it’s downsides; being ostracized was par for the course. Luckily for her, a clanless boy by the name of Kurai seemed unbothered by her alien origins, which helped her make at least one connection with the people of the mist early on in her life. She had a habit of giving him karaage, promptly tossing it at his head when he refused. [break][break] Much to the apparent dismay of that same boy, however, they would eventually get assigned to what would become team 10 of the mist. Whereas most of her peers spent countless hours training to master the skills expected of a ninja, things came naturally to the young Akimichi in little time. Though often scolded by their sensei for her lackadaisical attitude towards the stupid notion behind effort, Choyoyo would soon come across the first major obstacle of her life: a couple of years later, two members of team 10 would pass the chuunin exams with flying colors, but... [break][break] ... She was not among them. [break][break] The weight of this loss would serve as the wake-up call she needed in her life. [break][break] From that point onward, the young Akimichi immersed herself in honing her craft. From training for innumerable days to master the techniques of her clan alongside her father, to fostering a more determined attitude towards improvement alongside her peers, the chuunin exams were a keypoint in her life. After an extensive year doused in sweat, blood and tears, Choyoyo managed to pull through on the next exam, finally attaining the rank of chuunin for herself. [break][break] A goal that was accomplished with impeccable timing. [break][break] It turned out that her father’s squad had the misfortune of failing a mission. Given the nature of his origins and the tyranny of the previous mizukage, her father (and by extension, his family) became a constant source of vigilance by hunter-nin. They were difficult days where her family, under the suspicion of working as spies for the leaf, would find themselves unsure if they would live to see the next day. [break][break] …Until a young teenager reached out. The boy who would, in turn, become mizukage in the future. [break][break] Thanks to her then recent display of power during the chunin exams—and a mysterious recommendation from an unknown source—she was given the chance of fighting back the tyrant that ruled Kirigakure, so long as she pledged loyalty towards what the young visionary planned for the future of Kirigakure. [break][break] In order to protect her family and the people she held dear, Choyoyo accepted his offer without thinking twice. She participated in the coup when she was only fifteen years old, fighting as one of the seven swordsmen and as the wielder of Kabutowari. After the numerous political moves and battles that ensued, she found herself promoted to the rank of Jonin thanks to her contribution and the swift mastery of her new weapon. [break][break] Nowadays, she continues acting as a swordswoman in the military unit and as a Jonin of Kirigakure, having built a relatively positive reputation with the hidden mist over the past three years.

POSITION: Wielder of Kabutowari. MEMBER: Mina RANK: Jōnin PLANS: Despite being an Akimichi, Choyoyo was born in the land of water as a result of her parents falling in love with one another during their chunin exams. Due to the strained relationship her mother had with her family at the time (minor nobles with ties to the daimiyo), it fell upon her father, an Akamichi, to move to the land of water so they could start their own family.
Given her relatively normal background, my main goal with this character is to offer someone with an upbeat and approachable nature to help smooth out any rocky start between SSM members, specially by including some comedic dynamics. Despite that, assuming her naive is a bad idea: Choyoyo is well aware that life ain’t easy in the mist (her mom’s a hardcore beast), and so, she has no qualms with throwing absurdly massive hands if push comes to shove.
If at all plausible, I would also love to rp some of the drama llama that might be thrown her way, considering she’s someone hailing from a clan of konoha holding one of kiri’s fabled swords.
ABILITIES: Choyoyo was a genius little girl from a young age, and at her eighteenth year, she has mastered just about everything her father had to teach her in terms of Akimichi techs, and have since then expanded them to include techniques that specifically enlarge the size of a weapon ---namely, Kabutowari. She's very capable at taijutsu and can wreak havoc with her weapon, specially when both are oversized. The end goal here is, essentially, to maximize the power of [bonkus maximus].

There are many absolute truths in this world.
The ever-turning cycle of day and night, the complex mathematics behind two plus two equaling fourty two, that all squares are in truth circles… but among many others that Choyoyo knows, only one of them stands atop her hierarchy of importance, above everything else—
The world doesn’t work on an empty stomach, goddammit!
Sat atop a rock near a flowing river, motionless nukenin dot the ground near the blonde Akimichi. She was sent along the hunter-nin to dispatch this particularly rough bunch that had been causing trouble lately, and though the scuffle was a relatively entertaining one, in the end… The scroll where she stored her fried karaage was ruined during the fight.
In this infinitesimal and everlasting moment of Akimichi-zen meditation, she ponders the meaning behind her grumbling stomach. Why must humans feel hungry? Is this the fate of shinobi, to endure? Why are they all here, just to suffer, again?
“I’m so gonna blow up the payment for this mission on a XXL bucket of karaage…” she mutters to herself, devoid of hopes and dreams. The purple eyes behind her blonde bangs stare toward the visible horizon, the intensity and concentration in her gaze enough to make sages blush. Alas, her pondering comes to an abrupt end. For some reason, a relatively chonky frog thinks it a good idea to jump from the depths of the river, landing near her feet.
Wait a moment.
The instant her eyes catch sight of the creature, the intricately interwoven and tapestry’ed inner-workings of her neurons activate deep into the depths of her mind, awakening memories that should be long forgotten. She heard one of her teammates say something interesting ages ago when she was a genin, and now that the little frog stares deep into the abyss of her purples… The abyss of her hunger stares right back. Everything is crystal clear now. Right. Choyoyo crosses her arms and nods to herself. But of course, everyone has heard this phrase at least once in their lifetime—
“Chicken’s supposed to taste like frog…!” She hammers her right fist onto her left palm as though arriving at the greatest breakthrough of the century. Her fingers dance in the air as she readies her grabby hands to pounce on the hero of this tale about ninjas enduring hunger, but—
Alas…
“Boo…!” Even if she made barbecue out of little river frog, there was no way it could sate her gargantuan hunger until she returned to the mist. That realization immediately stops Choyoyo in her tracks, and she finds herself glaring at the poor creature like the Uchiha loves their god damn eye contact. As if sensing the kunoichi’s contained rage, the poor little frog jumps back into the water, disappearing into the great flow. Good, little froggo—know thy enemy. Perhaps this is just yet another challenge in her way. In knowing that chicken tastes like frog, she shall endure her craving until she arrives home.
Such is the way of shinobi—to endure.
Even with an empty stomach…
