This nature transformation is known to be exceptionally powerful and versatile. Users can sprout plants from their bodies or in their surroundings, and the strongest Senju Clan members are able to swallow entire towns with a forest in a matter of moments. More delicate constructs can created as well, and in some cases Wood Release can even be used to absorb chakra of those its techniques ensnare. [break][break][attr="class","nthrmini"] BATTLEFIELD ACUITY (EXPERT) [break][break] Due to the nature of his training as a child, compounded by the trauma of battle and the harsh training that the White Snake Sage put him through, Senju Kodama has shown to have a sensitivity to small and large-scale battles. Kodama has shown the ability to be very vicious in battle, and sensitive to his surroundings; having shown to be able to capitalize on even the slightest of advantages, tilting the scale into his favour. While he had not neglected taijutsu, genjutsu, and shurikenjutsu, he showed most promise in ninjutsu the most. He has shown the ability to shorten the amount of hand signs for ninjutsu techniques, and is known to master techniques faster than most. This has amplified further after becoming the Snake Sage. While underground, they can pinpoint where they are, as well as sense vibrations overhead while hiding in a depth enemies can’t normally reach. Once they dig, the earth above them is returned to normal, leaving no trace of their entry. Each drop of rain is subtly infused with their chakra, connecting to the shinobi’s senses and allowing them to sense chakra signatures of whoever and whatever the rain touches or interacts with. The user cannot know specifically who the signature belongs to, however. 'Hurting' or attempting to attack the rain does nothing but alert the user, making this a safe technique for finding intruders or sensing disturbances.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] C-RANK TECHNIQUES [break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] EARTH RELEASE: EARTH FLOW SPEARS (土遁・土流槍) [break][break] (C-RANK // RANGE: MED // DURATION: 2 // CD: 4) The user stomps the ground, causing myriad spikes to erupt from beneath their target up to a medium distance away, attempting to skewer them. The earthen spikes cannot penetrate any targets or obstacles of greater density. The user can also choose to produce a single large spike instead.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] SUMMONING TECHNIQUE (口寄せの術) [break][break] (C-RANK // RANGE: NA // DURATION: 3 // CD: 6) A widely known technique used to transport a target to the shinobi’s location. Before a creature or animal can be summoned, the shinobi must form a contract with it or its species. These summons are usually called upon to lend assistance in battle or to complete certain tasks. Only one creature or animal can be summoned at a time, and only one species of animal or creature can be contracted with per character. Wood clones can travel a short distance from the user, merge with plants and trees, and perform jutsu up to C-Rank. Projectiles can be lengthened mid-flight, turning into skewering. Those struck are poisoned, alongside the damage that this technique deals to them. This technique is fast, faster due to it being enhanced with Sage Mode.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] SHADOW CLONE TECHNIQUE (影分身の術) [break][break] (B-RANK // RANGE: LONG // DURATION: 2 (unless dispersed) // CD: 4) The user creates a shadow clone copy of themselves, dividing their chakra between themselves and the clone created. Unlike basic clone techniques, shadow clones are physically real and able to interact with the world. They can act as decoys, overwhelm an opponent, carry out tasks, share information, and perform jutsu. The user summons a linear wave of high-velocity water that shoots outwards from the ground at breakneck speeds towards a target. This technique is strong enough to slice cleanly through rock. With careful aim and masterful control, they aim at a target before firing the needles in bursts. Targets struck by the needles suffer myriad piercing injuries. This technique uproots the earth and trees as it travels outwards, cleansing the battlefield with violent winds.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] WOOD RELEASE: GREAT SPEAR TREE (木遁・大槍樹) [break][break] (B-RANK // RANGE: SHORT-MED // DURATION: 2 // CD: 4) The user summons up to a dozen thick tree roots like spears from the ground, skewering opponents caught in their ascent. These roots can move at a limited capacity after summoning, and can be called on to then crush targets. On contact with its teeth, the dragon can gradually absorb chakra from a target, draining them in a vampiric fashion. At the end of its duration, the dragon detonates, resulting in a large explosion.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] A-RANK TECHNIQUES [break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] EARTH RELEASE: GREAT MOVING EARTH CORE (土遁・大地動核) [break][break] (A-RANK // RANGE: LONG // DURATION: NA // CD: ONCE PER THREAD) The user channels an immense amount of chakra into the ground, allowing them to freely lower or raise the terrain within the area immediately surrounding them. This allows them to create giant pitfalls or elevations in the ground large enough to trap a fully formed Tailed Beast. This technique allows the user to breathe life into inorganic substances by filling the atmosphere with natural energy, changing the landscape, and using the inorganic material within the environment to their own advantage (such as to attack or defend with).[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] WATER RELEASE: GREAT EXPLODING WATER SHOCKWAVE (水遁・大爆水衝波) [break][break] (A-RANK // RANGE: LONG // DURATION: 3 // CD: ONCE PER THREAD) The user conjures a massive amount of water, covering an entire area with a veritable tsunami. This artificial ocean of water can be used for further Water Release techniques, and can even be reinforced to trap all enemies within like a gigantic water prison. The crushing waves produced by this technique make it incredibly difficult to escape, requiring large amounts of strength and stamina to resist.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] WIND RELEASE: BEAST TEARING GALE PALM (風遁・獣破烈風掌) [break][break] (A-RANK // RANGE: SHORT-LONG // DURATION: 2 // CD: ONCE PER THREAD) The user condenses a massive amount of wind-chakra and shapes it into the form of a massive demonic claw. This claw extends from their own hand and can be finely controlled to strike or grab a target, as well as deflect weapon attacks and projectiles. Depending on its use, the claw can be used to attack defend at all ranges, making it a deadly weapon. Extending the claw alone devastates anything in its path without affecting the user.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] WOOD RELEASE: WOOD HUMAN TECHNIQUE (木遁・木龍の術) [break][break] (A-RANK // RANGE: SHORT // DURATION: 2 // CD: 5) The user creates an enormous humanoid statue out of wood to be used in battle as an avatar. Instead of manifesting the whole humanoid, the user can also manifest an arm or hand for faster results. The dragon wrapped around its bodies can extend to attack as well. The wood human must remain close to the user and cannot wander far.[break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] S-RANK TECHNIQUES [break][break] [attr="class","nthrmini"] WOOD RELEASE: NATIVITY OF A SEA OF TREES (木遁・樹海降誕) [break][break] (S-RANK // RANGE: LONG // DURATION: 4 // CD: ONCE PER THREAD) A technique with a very long cast time, the user turns an entire area into a vast forest in a matter of moments, creating thick trees and grassy terrain. These trees pierce through obstructions, and can swallow entire villages if the user wills it (or if they lose control of the technique).
