[break][break][attr="class","nthrmini"] JINCHŪRIKI OF THE TWO TAILS(Strained) [break][break]
Yanagi owes his vast cauldron of chakra to the beast sealed within him. Since fleeing he has served as her host, and while he'd like to say his infatuation with the creature is mutual they are merely acquaintances sharing one dorm..
[break][break][attr="class","nthrmini"] TWO FACED(Apprentice) [break][break]
Both a moniker as well as a testament to his skills in disguising himself. Yanagi has taken to seducing civilians into helping him while he wanders the outskirts of villages looking for a chance to capture other Jinchuriki like himself. While one side of this coin has him luring in victims with sweet words only to talk them into offering everything he needs. While the flip side has him dawning his Nukenin persona, and robbing random people on the road. Due to his amateurish nature, he is easily discovered by those who have met him a single time. Something he has been aiming to improve on as he continues his activities.
Affectionately coined as the Ghost Flame Style is a series of techniques that meld the Azure flames of the Two Tails alongside his affinity of Yin release to create a supposedly cursed flame that he utilizes

The current plan for Yangai is to first and foremost find the person with the most freedom in the world and surpass or learn from them. Not to the extent of wanting to join a village or return to his previous one. Valuing his own freedom above all else. All aside from Matatabi who he makes constant promises of freeing from within himself alongside her kin. For that purpose alone he has grand ambitions of gathering them all in one place for that sake. Be that through kidnapping, blackmail, or just downright violence. With peace talks being the first on the agenda. The point is to free the Tailed Beast from the Jinchuriki should they so desire it. Of course, he won't know which beast is where or who has obtained them. So to combat this issue he plans to form a small organization of missing ninja and ordinary citizens who will act as an information-gathering net called Reverence. I expect all of this to take some time so there is no rush for it. But I also have no plans for him to join up with any village unless forced... or captured I guess.
The second arc of all of this will be more of an internal struggle between his desire for freedom and the realization that his own infatuation for the tailed beast was dangerous to those around him. Especially when she goes on a rampage and kills damn near anyone that could pose a threat to them both. Be they possible friend or foe. But again. That is for the future. If at all possible I will also be looking out for someone to complete a possible Ino-Shika-Chō variant for missing ninja for further plots.
ABILITIES:
Yangai will be focusing on honing techniques that could possibly combine the capabilities of the Blue Flames of Matatabi and Yin release to create an odd series of Wilo Wisp-inspired Jutsu to ensnare his foes. As ironic as it may seem he'll be focusing on jutsu that entrap, or restrict those after him rather than straight out killing them. So his skill set will be geared toward potential information gathering. For weapons, he will primarily rely on either ranged weaponry or a mixture of dagger and sickle techniques. As for Matatabi, he will not have any actual control of her. He'll be acting with the beast off her leash. Not fearing what she'll do while on the loose, but who knows if that will change down the line. Finally, the sensory abilities inherited from his clan will be secondary. Something he'll do as a way of expressing what little faith he had in them before defecting. Same with most of the jutsu. Using them only when he has been left with no choice.

Let it burn. Crash down to the ground like a fragile house of cards. It was going to be magnificent. A starving tale of glory, and passion that would only be quenched by a drop of freedom. It had been quite a while since Yanagi had found himself treading the pathway of this familiar courtyard. Since he's been able to feel the oddly shaped stones kissing the crevices between his toes. Not that he had the time to linger on past sentiments. No, those days were long gone. Just a petal scattered on harsh winds. "Are you done Yanagi-Tan?"A voice chimed in from the back of his mind. Elegant yet impatient all the same. That was the beast that dwelled within him. A long-time partner as well as his only real friend in this world. If you didn't count those other two fools who fled alongside him.
"I said are you done?!? Her voice was raised only by a bit yet it boomed throughout his skull all the same. Clearly not happy with his silence. "Apologies, Matatabi-Heika. Just set adrift in my thoughts is all." And could you blame him? Sure he hated the cage this compound acted as for him, but all things had an upside. A lie that acted as the red thread that could become salvation for those who were brave enough to grasp it. For Yanagi that had been the chance to have his Beloved sealed within himself. To her dismay of course, but who's to say what emotions lay beneath that ever-growling maw? "Silence you buffoon. Just go grab the thing." Right. They were here for that scroll. Legacy of his now deceased mother. A work of techniques she aimed to perfect as the host of Matatabi all those years ago.
Stolen away by his disgruntled father just as everything else had been. His ambition. His glory. His freedom. Both just wings clipped like a flightless crow for the sake of the Yamanaka. For their betterment, he had to suffer. Forced to, Study. To practice. To perfect what was never meant to be perfected. Never beaten or bruised. Just shunned. Locked away with what little thoughts he allowed to play around the darker corners of his mind. "Get going." Again, she urged him forward as a partner would. It was enough to snap him out of his thoughts, and our little rebel dashed ahead. This particular compound belonged to his family. It remained unused for the most part and remained lightly guarded.
It was just a few buildings after all. Ones that belonged to a traitor no less. So, it was seen as unimportant. Or it should have been. So, why was she there? It had to be her. That glorious blonde hair that would shine even in the darkness of an alley. His sister. The golden heir. And someone who was blocking his way. "Wai-" She began to speak yet it was too late. A blade had already been drawn. A small tanto he kept for self-defense these days. It was light, easy to swing, and best of all sharper than most steel blades. So, he swung it once, then twice. Only to be sidestepped both times. That wretched woman was quick on her feet. A compliment she'd hardly be able to hear twice. Not even once since he refused to speak a single word. "Don't just strike. Burn. Claw. Aim for the throat." Brutal. Made more so by how polite the blazing feline tended to be. Even in the face of a foe, she was as elegant with her words as always. The same could not be said for Yanagi.
"Working on it." Finally, he spoke. The tone a tad heavier than before. It was at that moment that his foe let loose her fangs. Lunging at him with a fierce kick that sent him spiraling to the ground below. But what do they say? Cats always land on their feet. Well, the same could be said of Yanagi when he flipped over mid-air and landed on his feet. Chakra now surged throughout his slender form before a sliver of azure flame slithered out from around his palms. Engulfing them in a single moment. It vaguely took on the form of a massive paw, and then Yanagi was gone. In an instant, he'd pounced forward. Barreling over the woman, striking her torso with the flaming claws in one instant. Where he ended up next was a surprise even to him. He managed to burst through the doors she seemed to be guarding and with a swift look around he noticed it. The scroll he was looking for. His mother's legacy was here just as he expected.
"Y-You devil! Why are you back he-re?! Wasn't it already enough to trample on us once?!" She screamed. Stumbling to her feet as our rebel sneered. Clearly not impressed with her little speech. "I only took back what was mine. It should've always been mine." That's right. His fre- "Our lives?! You took them all!? Women, children! Even the elderly. You are a monster hiding behind a smile! And I will have you gone!" There was a bit of might behind that scream. That and some righteous anger. Something he was unfamiliar with being the selfish man that he was. Of course, he meant to retort but before he had the chance his vision started to go black. His breathing sped, and before anyone knew it he damn well fainted. "Snap out of it Yanagi-Tan!" But it was too late. The damage had been done. And all it took was...

As a being Yanagi is someone not fit for the title of Nukenin. Sure he defected from the village, but has a stern belief that it is of no fault of his own. The stiff traditions of the clan were just weighing him down. Choking the life from his eyes. So he threw it all away for an arrogant feeling he called love. One not for himself, but for the Tailed Beast Matatabi that had been sealed inside of him. Some say a darkness hides underneath his smile. One they've not had the chance to reach.
The life of Yamanaka Yangai was as pampered as pampered could get. From servants to tutors he had received the utmost from birth. As one would expect from a family belonging to a clan of high esteem within the village of Konoha. So where did it all go wrong? Where did he find the time to snap? Truth be told he was already broken from the moment he was born. Always bored. Never invested in anything or anyone other than himself. Not unless you included his mother that is. Adoptive as she may have been the young maid that served as his personal attendant was more of a family member than anyone else in his clan. She knew him best and while he was mostly left alone by others she was always by his side. Either edging him on some random conversation or shoving a new toy into his face. Trying anything that may have sparked some sort of joy into his life.[break]
[break]Everything failed of course. Well, not everything. Reading was a natural pass time of his. Both his father and mother alike wanted him to be as knowledgeable as possible after all. So that meant reading any and everything that he could get his hands on. No matter how dull the material may have been. Yuno(the maid) often broke from the reading schedule to slide him more interesting books from time to time all the same. Just to spice things up a tad. Though be it by accident or on purpose she gave him an old scroll one day. Something he'd never seen or heard of before. Its title was in a foreign tongue and yet the rest of it was neatly translated on the page below. It spoke of potential jutsu formulas. Be they forbidden or whimsical they were listed in a random order that possessed no rhyme or reason. And it drew him in hook, line, and sinker. That was all it took.[break]
[break]From that moment forward Jutsu of all kinds became a focal point of his. Setting aside his more traditional studies to focus on that alone. Sadly his father and other officials from the clan caught wind of this. They questioned Yanagi about what they called an obsession. Sure he skipped meals and barely went outside anymore. But did that make it an obsession? Surely they were being absurd!? A bunch of exaggerating fools. He told them as much. All the same, he was forced to stop and focus on the path his father had set for him. One that would see him living a life that every passed Clan head could be proud of. One that served the village and its Hokage with every fiber of his being. Oh, how the very thought made his stomach twist. His soul very well would have slipped away if not for the news that he would become the JINCHŪRIKI, of the two tails should he impress them. That was what intrigued him.[break]
[break]That scroll of his had listed down quite a few incomplete jutsu theories related to those strange creatures. Even went into a little detail on them. Not enough to know what they were or how they came to be though. Just myths and stories about some great sage. It was a little confusing for one so young. No matter how intelligent they made him out to be. Still, he agreed all the same. Being the host of such a being could only help him, right? If only he knew the truth. The ritual, and sealing all happened on the same day. Right before he was to enter the academy. It went smoothly enough. No, terrible backlashes or rejections by Matatabi either. It was fairly normal for as far as he could remember.[break]
[break]So why on earth was he locked inside? Forbidden from attending the academy altogether. No one came around his home anymore. Both his father and sister had vanished without a trace. Even Yuno was gone. Didn't even leave a note. And the few people that were around only served as guards. Brainwashed by the clan's techniques they were unfeeling dolls who only served the purpose of keeping him there. It would be several years before anyone visited him again. Tutors for one. All preaching the traditions of the clan to him. Such as wearing the ponytail that he just refused to comply with. Having been alone for so long he just decided to cut it off and grow his hair anew. They hated him for that and his study of jutsu from outside their library didn't help his case. Not to mention that many of his tutors blamed him for the so-called deaths that were happening within the clan.[break]
[break]Numerous bodies that were mauled, and covered in burns were appearing one after the other. And it all started after he became the host to the two tails. So they locked him away to be safe. Yanagi couldn't believe any of it. He refused to. Even now he hadn't heard a peep from the beast. She never spoke to him. Never tried to wring control from him either. So why would he be blamed? Not that they weren't right on the money. Matatabi didn't speak to him outside of dreams he never remembered. Clashing in conflicts he'd always lose. Leaving her to sow death throughout the walls of the Yamanaka compound. Yearning for a freedom she could never reach. It was on a night 3 years ago that saw Yanagi learning the truth. After losing yet another battle in his mental landscape he suddenly awoken, trembling above a corpse. Bloody palms helplessly cradling a young woman he knew all too well. Yuno. His maid. His only friend. The one person who should have lived if everyone else had withered away.[break]
[break]Terror grasped his soul, and while he retreated into himself Matatabi whispered a single phrase; "I yearn to be free." she'd say as a horror-stricken Yanagi collapsed unceremoniously. Only to awaken in his home having forgotten all that occurred the night before. His mind now settled on the idea of being free. Solely enforced by Matatabi who had now begun to freely speak on the matter herself. Objecting to the way he had been treated by the clan. Claiming that he wasn't meant to be their pawn! Neither of them were, and within two years he was declared missing. Having fled from the clan compound after killing two of the guards, and slipping past the rest. Now said to be lingering around the outskirts of Konoha after several attempts to sneak back into the village for reasons known only to himself.
